AQM and WENZEL Italia combines a long-standing, trusting partnership. As an independent testing and measurement laboratory in Italy, AQM supports companies with comprehensive services in industrial measurement technology and quality assurance. The range of services ranges from Dimension and Geometry Tests about industrial Computed Tomography and X-ray testing up to Reverse Engineering and fault analysis.
By building your own Center for Metrological Computer Tomography AQM has made a significant technological step forward. The project was created at a special time: During the corona pandemic, the new solution was prepared and put into operation — which is also reflected in the pictures of everyone involved wearing protective masks.
The heart of the center is the industrial computer tomograph eXact U by WENZEL, realized in close collaboration with WENZEL Italia. Technical support, start-up and training were provided by Dr. Uwe Hilpert, Computed Tomography Product Manager at WENZEL.

The eXact U with 300 kV combines high transmission capacity with excellent metrological accuracy. Thanks to nanofocus technology and large scan volumes, components made from a wide variety of materials — from light metals to steel to polymers — can be tested reliably and reproducibly.
Typical applications at AQM range from dimensional and geometric tests to reverse engineering to fault and structure analyses. Direct training from the responsible CT expert ensured that the system could be used safely, efficiently and productively from day one.

With an investment of around one million euros In technology and infrastructure, AQM is sustainably strengthening its expertise in the area of industrial X-ray and CT testing. The eXact U optimally complements existing systems and expands the service portfolio, particularly for industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Precision Mechanics, and Additive Manufacturing.
In the midst of a challenging period, a powerful technology center was created — supported by technical expertise, partnership and a clear focus on industrial computed tomography.
