Fire-Red and 12 Meters long describes the largest LHF, which ever left the WENZEL Wiesthal plant in 2009. The measuring area of the X- and Z-axis was 4000mm x 2500mm. There were some finesses necessary to enable the customer from overseas the measurement of turbine drives for amphibious vehicles. Beside an enormous measuring displacement of 12 meters a carbon fibre extension of 1.5 meters was realized. This allows the probe head to get deep into the inner of the turbine. An anti-collision device with light barrier in the z-axis prevents collisions. Through the perfect cooperation of WENZEL engineers, the machine was accepted to our customers‘ complete satisfaction.
