The WENZEL Group recorded record growth in order intake, sales and EBITDA in Q2 2021. Order intake and sales increased by almost 60% from April to June compared to the same period of the previous year; EBITDA is again clearly in the double-digit range. For fiscal year 2021, WENZEL expects a full recovery to pre-crisis levels.

The WENZEL Group has thus successfully overcome the effects of the CORONA pandemic on business development and is again looking very positively at further business development in 2021 and 2022. Many customers are now catching up on their postponed investments in measurement technology. The recovery and the strong growth based on it can be felt in almost all target industries and across all products. Based on the reorganization and cost measures implemented in the last two years, the WENZEL Group has now returned to a level of profitability that is customary in the industry. Based on this very good operational development, the management now expects to exceed the previous forecast in terms of incoming orders, sales and EBITDA margin.

A positive contribution will also be made by the new development of a product line for gear measuring technology, with which WENZEL will again appear directly as a supplier on the market 3 years after the separation from this business field. The time was used to develop both a completely, newly developed machine series and a very innovative, end-user friendly gear measuring software. Analogously, in the second half of the year WENZEL will also return to the, until 2018 very successfully operated business with solutions for design model making. Here, too, WENZEL has used the years well to improve the proven R-machine products or to completely redevelop the software and other components.
